Welcome to Spanish 3! By now you have experience in taking a foreign language. You have been reading, writing, speaking, and listening in Spanish for the past two years. This year we will continue to do this using the following modes of communication.
1. Interpretive Communication: Listening and Reading
2. Interpersonal Communication: Person to person communication
3. Presentational Communication: Speaking and Writing
Along with these modes of communication we will be incorporating culture as much as possible.
We will conduct the class 90% (minimum) in the target language, Spanish. That means teacher to student and student to student. Yo Participating in class will be essential to your learning, and it will make class more enjoyable and practical. Studying and practicing your vocabulary frequently, coming to tutoring, and participating in class are all crucial to your success in this class.
You will be assessed in a number of different ways in Spanish 3. You will have Vocabulary Tests, Unit Tests, Grammar Tests and Quizzes, Presentations and Projects. Formal grades will count 70% of the grade while Informal grades make up 30 %.
Re-testing is available on Unit Tests, Vocabulary Tests, and Grammar Tests only.
A student may re-test if he/she has done the following:

2. Interpersonal Communication: Person to person communication
3. Presentational Communication: Speaking and Writing
